Life insurance
Life insurance is a contract where an insurer pays a designated beneficiary a sum of money, called the death benefit, upon the death of the insured policyholder. This financial support helps cover costs like living expenses, medical bills, and burial expenses for the beneficiaries after the insured's death. Policyholders pay regular premiums for this coverage, with the cost based on factors like age, health, and the policy type.

Disability income (DI)
Disability income (DI) insurance replaces a portion of your income if an illness or injury prevents you from working and earning a living. It provides a financial safety net to help cover essential expenses like rent, groceries, and utilities when you cannot work, available through employers, private insurance companies, or government programs. Coverage can be short-term or long-term, with policies paying benefits on a monthly basis after a waiting period

Long-term care (LTC)
Long-term care (LTC) insurance helps pay for services like assistance with daily activities, home health care, nursing home, or assisted living care when you are unable to care for yourself due to a chronic illness or disability. Unlike health insurance or Medicare, LTC insurance covers ongoing support and care not typically covered by traditional plans, helping to protect your savings from the significant costs of extended care. You must meet certain criteria, such as being unable to perform a minimum number of "activities of daily living" (ADLs), to receive benefits.
